I’ve been moving dirt since I was a kid, literally. What started as playing in the sandbox turned into a career I love. After 8 years with Detrick Excavating and more than a decade in the industry, I launched Stroud Dirt Works with my wife, Traci, in 2022.
We live in Adel, Iowa with our three kids, and this business is our way of serving the community we call home. When you hire us, you’re getting experience, integrity, and a commitment to doing the job right.

Stroud was over to give me a reasonable estimate within 2 hours and was able to squeeze the job into his schedule within a week.
